JR Pass delivery times

Japan Rail Pass is a privately owned company. We aim to process and ship all orders on the day they were made for our customers’ comfort and peace of mind. The standard delivery time varies between 24 and 48 hours. However, the exact delivery time depends on the customer’s location, the time of order, public holidays, as well as customs problems and transportation disruption.

The estimated maximum delivery time is 72 hours. However, delivering to some Australian, New Zealand or Brazilian regions can take up to 96 business hours.

We use the express and safe services of UPS and FedEx for our worldwide deliveries. After placing your order a confirmation email, containing your unique tracking number, will be sent.

Address or hotel in Japan

When you order your JR Pass you can specify the address where you want it delivered. It can either be delivered to to your home address or the address of your accomodation in Japan. You can’t have the JR Pass delivered to an airport for collection.

PO box delivery

PO (post office) box delivery is not available. A physical address is required.

The free shipping is only valid for checkouts made with over  of the overall price of the products. If you have made a purchase of  and your original shipping costs , a total of , this order will not qualify. Your total products price must be over , without the delivery prices. All other countries are eligible for up to 50% discount on their shipping cost if meeting the order requirements mentioned above.

We would like to inform you that if your order was late due to external circumstances, which do not depend on this agency and cannot be controlled nor overcome by us, a refund cannot be made based solely on this argument.

Changing your delivery address

If you wish to change your delivery address, please contact us at info@jrailpass.com to learn more about the respective costs. Contacting the delivery service provider directly might result in additional charges that will be applied directly to the credit/debit card used to make the payment on this site.

FAQs

Can I have my JR Pass sent to Japan?

Yes, all orders (JR Pass, Pocket WiFi, Data SIM Card) can be sent to your temporary address in Japan. You can choose the delivery address, whether it be your home address or your place of stay.

When does my Japan Rail Pass arrive?

The standard delivery time for our orders is 2 business days. However, there are some rare circumstances which are beyond our control such as extreme weather conditions and transport strikes. The delivery time could take longer as a result of these potential problems.

Can I delay the delivery of my JR Pass?

There are 2 ways to delay the delivery of your JR order: 1) If the order hasn't been shipped yet. In this case, you can delay your order delivery by sending us an email. One of our expert staff members will get back to you as soon as possible with a confirmation email about the updated delivery time. 2). If the order has already been shipped. In this case, you will be required to ship the JR voucher (Exchange Order) back to our offices. Additionally, let us know via email when you wish to receive the JR order.

Can I change the delivery address of my JR Pass?

You can change your delivery address in 2 case scenarios: 1) When the order hasn't left our offices. You can modify your delivery address easily by emailing us. 2) When the order has already left our office. If you wish to change the delivery address after your online order has already been shipped, please get in touch with us by sending an e-mail.
