In fact, it is a mere <strong>ten-minute walk from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/osaka-station-city\">Osaka Station City<\/a><\/strong> through an <strong>underground passage<\/strong> under the train tracks.<\/p>\n<p>You can <strong>use your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\">Japan Rail Pass<\/a> to reach Osaka City Station<\/strong> from nearly anywhere in Japan. Since Osaka City Station is a train station on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/osaka-city-loop-line\"><strong>JR Osaka Loop line<\/strong><\/a>, is easily accessible from anywhere in Osaka.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer service<strong> from Kansai Airport<\/strong>, <strong>Kansai-Airport Rapid<\/strong>, also stops at Osaka City Station (1h and 10 minutes). However, <strong>admittance of new guests ceases at 10 pm<\/strong>. The building is open on weekends and holidays, but <strong>the opening time may vary on special occasions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adult admission is \u00a51500<\/strong>, or about $14.00 USD. Admission for children ages four to twelve is \u00a5700, or just over $6.00 usd. Two of the escalators even <strong>cross between the two buildings<\/strong>, spanning more than 550 feet of open air. The escalators themselves will make you feel as if you\u2019ve entered the realm of science fiction. You may spend less than half an hour enjoying the observation deck, but longer if you desire to explore the <strong>unique shops and restaurants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On your way down from the observatory, you\u2019ll find cafes and souvenir shops, such as the <strong>Umeda Skybldg Gallery Shop<\/strong>. The <strong>Sky Lounge Stardust<\/strong> offers a selection of around 300 cocktails. Or you can catch a movie at the <strong>Cine Libre Umeda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The basement level of the building houses the <strong>Takimi Koji<\/strong>, a replica townscape of 1920s Japan. The underground \u201ctown\u201d includes a gourmet food alley. <strong><i>Okonomiyaki<\/i><\/strong>, meaning \u201cgrilled as you like it,\u201d is a savory pancake and one of <strong>Osaka\u2019s most popular foods<\/strong>. Pay a visit to <strong>Kiji, located in the Sky Building&#8217;s basement level food alley<\/strong>, for a taste of this delicious treat.
