However, you may <strong>take the Yamanote Line<\/strong> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/tokyo-train-station\">Tokyo Station<\/a> for connections to the Tohoku, Yamagata, Akita, Joetsu, Hokuriku, and Hokkaido Shinkansens.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>JR lines which serve Shibuya include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Saikyo Line<\/strong> to Kawagoe, Omiya, Osaki, Shin-Kiba, and Shinjuku<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sh\u014dnan-Shinjuku Line<\/strong>: northbound to Akabane, Urawa, Omiya, Kumagaya, Utsunomiya, Takasaki, Maebashi and southbound to Ebisu, Osaki, Kawasaki, Yokohama, and Ofuna<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/yamanote-line\">Yamanote Line<\/a>, a loop line connecting many stations and Tokyo attractions. It contains popular shops and restaurants, as well as the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu, which overlooks the famous scramble crossing.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Shop_at_Center_Gai_and_Department_Stores\">Shop at Center Gai and Department Stores<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Over a dozen major department stores featuring a wide range of styles crowd the streets around Shibuya Station. The pedestrian <strong>Center Gai<\/strong> is popular with young people, and is a hive of popular fashion.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Stroll_Down_Supeinzaka_and_Koen_Dori\">Stroll Down Supeinzaka and Koen Dori<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Also nearby is Supeinzaka, or \u201cSpain Street,\u201d a caf\u00e9 and boutique lined walkway leading to the Parco department store.
