This has led to a curiously widespread <strong>rash of speculation<\/strong> that her prediction will again prove correct.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, a number of \u2018psychics\u2019 from the region have shared similar warnings on social media platforms, adding to the <strong>unfounded suggestion<\/strong> of an imminent catastrophe.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, <strong>Japan\u2019s tourism industry<\/strong>, which has been enjoying a boom recently, is now facing disruption due to the growing disquiet.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"No_scientific_basis_for_concern\">No scientific basis for concern<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>However, any misgivings are <strong>not based on any scientific evidence<\/strong>. However, that guidance was issued as part of Japan\u2019s long-standing <strong>disaster readiness protocols<\/strong> rather than a response to any specific threat.<\/p>\n<p>You should still be vigilant when planning trips that involve volcanoes in Japan. Make sure to check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.data.jma.go.jp\/multi\/volcano\/index.html?lang=en\">latest updates<\/a> on their status, as, for example, there might be warnings in place <strong>advising not to get close to the crater<\/strong> or to avoid the area altogether.<\/p>\n<p>However, while it\u2019s natural to be cautious when planning a trip, current conditions certainly do not warrant alarm.
