The best way to go depends on whether you have a JR Pass and, if you don\u2019t, whether you want to take the<strong> quickest or the cheapest way<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"The_cheapest_way_for_JR_Pass_holders\">The cheapest way for JR Pass holders<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The<strong> fastest way of getting between Narita and Haneda,<\/strong> which is fully covered by the JR Pass, is to take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/narita-express\"><strong>Narita Express <\/strong><\/a>(also known as N\u2019Ex), followed by short journeys on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/yamanote-line\"><strong>Yamanote line<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/tokyo-monorail\"><strong>Tokyo Monorail<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The whole journey takes around <strong>1 hour 55 minutes<\/strong> when you factor in layovers. The Narita Express takes 75 mins from Narita to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/tokyo-train-station\">Tokyo Station<\/a>, the Yamanote line to Hamamatsucho takes 7 minutes, and the Tokyo Monorail to Haneda Airport takes 18 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"  decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-344\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/narita-express-map.gif\" alt=\"Narita Express route map\" width=\"560\" height=\"440\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n            <a class=\"fasc-button banner-button-shortcode fasc-size-large fasc-type-flat fasc-rounded-medium ico-fa fasc-ico-after fa-chevron-circle-right fasc-style-bold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/the-japan-rail-pass\">\n                Buy your JR Pass\n            <\/a>\n        <\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Using_JR_Narita_Express_and_Keikyu_line\">Using JR Narita Express and Keikyu line<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Combining the Narita Express with the Keikyu line is quicker than the cheapest way (outlined above) but it\u2019s only <strong>partially covered by the JR Pass<\/strong>.\u00a0 The Narita Express is normally 3,200 yen but is covered by the pass, and the Keikyu train <strong>costs just 410 yen<\/strong> (and isn\u2019t covered by the pass).<\/p>\n<p>The whole journey takes <strong>1 hour 35 minutes<\/strong>. The Narita Express from Narita Airport to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/shinagawa-station\">Shinagawa<\/a> takes 70 minutes, and then the Keikyu train to Haneda Airport takes 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Direct_trains_on_the_Keisei_and_Kiekyu_lines\">Direct trains on the Keisei and Kiekyu lines<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Direct trains<\/strong>, operated by the Keisei and Keikyu companies, operate every 40 minutes more or less. The service is also sometimes known as &#8220;<strong>Access Express<\/strong>&#8221; or &#8220;<strong>Airport Kaitoku<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The journey takes<strong> around 90 minutes <\/strong>(making it the fastest way to get from Narita to Haneda) and <strong>costs 1760 yen<\/strong>. It is not covered by the JR Pass.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Airport_Shuttle_Limousine_Bus\">Airport Shuttle: Limousine Bus<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>limousine bus<\/strong> is another relatively quick way of making the journey between the two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/blog\/japan-airports\">airports<\/a>. From Haneda to Narita, buses leave <strong>every 20 minutes<\/strong> but at the beginning and end of the day they run less frequently, roughly every 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>During peak times of the year the buses can become fully booked. The journey takes around<strong> 60-80 minutes <\/strong>though the time (and the cost) can vary depending on the traffic. The fare is very expensive compared to trains and buses (at least 40,000 yen but the prices vary greatly). Most taxis <strong>accept credit card <\/strong>but ask the driver before the journey.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a useful option if you <strong>land very early or late <\/strong>as taxis operate 24\/7. However, visitors should be aware that taxis add a <strong>20-30% surcharge<\/strong> for rides between 10 pm and 5 am.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also possible to <strong>catch an Uber <\/strong>from either airport. Visitors need to download and use the Uber app to be able to order one.
